Spoke to some really smart college kids recently. Almost universally, they had a belief that climate change was an unstoppable disaster and the most pressing issue of our time.

It is an unstoppable disaster and has probably wiped out numerous civilisations over the eons. Not at trace remains from the last cycle (125,000 years)

It most definitely is NOT "unstoppable". The problem is that global capitalism demands never-ending exploitation of finite resources, Stop that, and the endless message of mindless consumption as a public good, and it can be stopped.

And yet if she cut any of those things, it would have next to no impact on the global carbon output because corporations are responsible for 70% of all carbon emissions. Individuals can do nothing to solve this. Blame is soley on corporations.https://youtu.be/yiw6_JakZFc

Corporation won't change if regulations don't change. Regulations don't change if governments don't change. Governments don't change if individuals don't change. Idividuals don't change if they don't think individuals can make an impact. Blame is solely on individuals. 🧐

Girl what the fuck kind of logic is this Corporations are the ones responsible for emitting CO2 into the atmosphere. Yes, individuals need to pressure the government to hold them accountable, but *corporations are objectively the ones responsible here*.

Wow. So, to be clear, when someone states misinformation, correcting that misinformation is now uncivil? Or does the incivility only arise if they reject the correct information by ad hominem attacks on those providing the facts? #InquiringMinds❓

Don't think it was directed at you, Liz. If anything @DanielleFong comment was directed at me and and my new besty @samwightt Also, it was humorous and brought us together. 😂 Sorry to offend. I'm just here to be convinced I'm wrong - which I'm open to be - for the record!
