lots of crypto foundations did this early doors, I guess what really matters is intention. Depends if you want the non profit to be democratically run, in which case it acts as balast against your worst impulses but also puts things in the way of moving quickly.

Assuming you mean 501c3 (but there are other nonprofits). Depends if its a private foundation or public charity. Issues are on non-profit side: 1) potential liability for directors, if UPMIFA covered 2) "private benefit" conflicting with 501c3 3) potential self-dealing
