well then maybe you weren’t paying attention at the time. people in the field, some very prominent, very persuasive and influential people, were basically insisting that because this ahd a rate rate of mutation much slower than the flu, mutations were not really a concern

Could you name these people? Then perhaps we can establish if they’re epidemiologists, virologists, geneticists etc. and see if they did represent mainstream views in their field.

Can you point me to a paper by Angela Rasmussen that you find problematic?

oh man, sorry don’t want to go there

What conclusion do you think I’m going to draw from you refusing to back yourself up with any concrete details?

at this point i’ve given up on trying to make you conclude anything. but go search twitter histories for “human to human transmission”, “airborne”, or “mutation”, if you wish, she’s honorable enough that she’s kept that all online afaik, unlike many others

This is her talking about mutations back in January 2020. You suggested there was resistance to the idea that vaccines mutate. That didn’t include her.pic.twitter.com/dCm3NMQhnn

look i really don't want to pick on her because really she's one of the honest ones, she makes her positions clear and keeps her stuff up. i don't want to call individual people out or piss people off, & with what you're doing, don't want to drop more names but that's dated 2021?

Sorry - my bad with the search function. Here’s one from February 2020 with her emphasising that RNA viruses have a high mutation rate. All I’m asking for is evidence because I genuinely think the accusation is overblown.pic.twitter.com/CfAFMoMrqi

well, i've kind of run out my budget for twitter arguments today. i'm fine with you thinking the accusation is overblown; we probably will disagree on the premise of what epidemiologists / virologists / scientists in general have a responsibility for during a viral pandemic.
