yeah stuff like this is obv way more expensive and unavailable, housing, education and medicine way cheaper. less social mobility now, but hey you can get a huuuge tv and a pocket super computer.
i didn’t pay $2k for anti inflammatories dude, i paid $2k for a doctor looking at me for 15 minutes in a hospital and a splint, and $4k for a 5m ambulence ride. you seem to be really resistant to the idea that people could be overpaying for medicine in the usa. you do!

you seem to think that a la cart pricing reflects what the actual prices of all those things are. medicine in the states is messed up in all kinds of ways, a lot of it has to do with (over) using all kinds of the latest tech for no good reason

for sure, it’s messed up in multiple ways, and maybe unnecessary treatment represents the bulk of the spend, but even simple / routine stuff has inflated dramatically.
