the Atlantic bubble has held strong. we have independent media and a population that has been very careful for one another. there are travel restrictions within the country -- and quarantine is enforced for travel from the rest of Canada. the government has been proactive

Just like a forest fire, there are obvious strong seasonal influences. But they definitely did some things to limit contagion. Maritime climates are also interesting from a human immunity standpoint -- wet lungs are happy lungs!
