Another thing I think about is that “don’t come if sick”, or especially “don’t come if you or your close contacts are sick” might mean that post reopening, some people, like parents of kids in daycare, or preschool teachers, might almost never get to go to parties.

(Of course in practice, parties are probably going to have diverse rules about such things. But it seems possible that a subculture might mostly converge?)

anyone symptomatic or exposed should be extra cautious. imo the best way to handle this is have an outdoor area if people want to be as mindful as possible. ask people who have reason to be concerned to mainly chill there, and if they want to go in to get food/drinks, use a mask
