It is so future right now we should be able to have both. And you definitely need lower latency for spatial to ... work.

I am currently using AULab to run Serato on one computer and then pass it to another computer that’s running Logic & connected to speakers. It’s low latency but timing error does build up over time

People should be able to be sharing a DAW session across the Internet. Renting their expensive and usually dormant hardware gear out to others over the wire. Not armwrestling latency in a plugged-in or LAN env...

well, that’s going to be difficult. latency sucks, 10ms is quite noticable.

but you *can* send midi control over the wire and do rendering on terminals — that let’s you have synced sessions that are somewhat ok. you can fudge this for jam sessions, it takes effort but not impossible
