I saw on one science account I follow, it said that under certain conditions, laser pulses could travel ftl. I don’t subscribe, so I couldn’t read all of it. And I don’t think we are at quantum encryption yet.

if you sweep a laser pointer across the surface of the moon quickly, the dot will move faster than light, but the light comprising the dot will still move at c, the speed of light. this doesn’t help you with sending info though. that still moves from sender to receiver at c
