Let's say a founder is solving a problem in a particular vertical (e.g. automotive). Is it better for them to have deep experience in that specific vertical, or deep experience in an adjacent industry? (e.g. vertical)

i think what’s most important is if they have a capability to do new things (
@samoburja’s live players), not if they have a history of doing them. experience is valuable but can be partially leveraged from those you hire and from books, organizing teams to do new things is rare1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes
e.g. in automotive consider not only tesla but also cruise. for that matter, ford.
