All day, every day. But really, it's not rivalrous, unlike the inkling I get with anyone doing well in tech. I'm envious of better opportunities, but obviously delighted to help craft them.

When I see someone doing something excellent, I often treat it like an ideal. This makes me judge myself on how to do better. When I see my kids do well, it's predominantly happiness for them, and pride secondary.
