This VFW lodge will soon be...11 units? And I thought this was a military town!pic.twitter.com/QwRmPOazjP

This VFW lodge will soon be...11 units? And I thought this was a military town!pic.twitter.com/QwRmPOazjP
With a straight face, the city is telling state regulators that this luxury hotel will soon be nine moderate-income homes.pic.twitter.com/jwVm0uBMlc
Coronado is flat out lying to the state in reporting that these three *brand new* McMansions will soon be eight moderate income apartments.pic.twitter.com/idgCH6Gubm
I honestly can't think of anything witty to say. Nobody is going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars demolishing this gas station and undertaking remediation work to build six moderate-income apartments.pic.twitter.com/6LfbSvtmzb
Wow, they must really hate fraternal societies. The Masonic Lodge is also on the chopping block! For six units! Suck it, Robert Putnam. (Okay, sorry, obviously none of this is happening.)pic.twitter.com/RhpEScE4uj
Alright, I'm not going to spam your feed with the rest; they're all existing multifamily, legally mandated parking lots for nearby strip malls, and vacant lots with extenuating circumstances. I'd be surprised if even one of these were redeveloped.pic.twitter.com/G5fN52TDJs
Now here's the most galling part. They named one lot where redevelopment might actually happen. It's vacant 40-acre lot and it's being given to the city by the military. What does the city propose to do with it? Single-family zoning, mostly market rate.

There's plenty of bullshit flying around this SANDAG RHNA cycle. Pick a city to audit and get in on the fun:https://www.fairhousingelements.org/volunteer
Oh, and another huge thing that I spotted last night: basically all of those upzonings would be to R-5. Theoretically 47du/acre. Cool? Except R-5 has a minimum *and* a maximum height of 150 feet. It's a boutique zone written for this specific development.pic.twitter.com/uQqZhLmdiZ
So all of these sites? Coronado is earnestly telling the city that they are all going to be 15 stories, or require some pretty dramatic discretionary relief. Granted, I'm not much of a designer, but I don't know how you do a nine-unit, 15-story building on a 9,000 sqft lot.pic.twitter.com/3r5tmn0igL
so i checked out 432 park in nyc and incredibly it seems to have a 4850 sq ft footprint (divide through floor area by number of floors...)https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/432_Park_Avenue …
