I have had some time to thing about some things in my life and how I’ve tried justifying “ghosting” people because you don’t feel well, but there is little justification for not simply saying “hi, I’m not doing do so well right now, I’ll talk to you when I can”

I lost one of my best friends because I was afraid of telling him that I wasn’t feeling well. I was too tired, too lonely, too ashamed. I was a piece or shit. I could have said something instead of ghosting him. You don’t have elaborate or go into details. Just don’t disappear.

If they want you to elaborate, tell them that you will reach out to them when you have the energy, and *if* you feel like that should abstain from contacting you with questions, say that, and tell them it’s nothing personal. It’s a battle within you that you are fighting.

I know self-care is a big thing and it’s very important, but the people around you who are very close to you deserve more than you ghosting them. I know it’s hard, but losing them will be so much harder.
