that was one plant, the rest is on hold because of an extremely rare side effect similar to AZ

there are tons being produced just sitting there, truth is probably because we already have enough moderna and pfizer to go around

and those two are much more potent

Not to mention a significant minority of the population is convinced they are harmful so we’ll never reach herd immunity anyways probably

that's gonna be complicated anyway, until the whole world has it under control expect an arms race against mutations that will leave us at code yellow for a few years

you're exactly right about this, unfortunately. each country with this endemic is going to be breeding their own. the best hopeful argument is that viruses get a lot of mutation chances for free when they reach a new pop but the rate tempers out in the state space of innovation

yeah so far seeing tons of convergent evolution, suggesting this thing isn't that flexible

also suggesting travel restrictions aren't that useful

wouldn't go that far, that's just a factor. travel restrictions still extremely successful. travel + vaccination may be enough.

Mutation may not be as big of a deal as some are making it out to be, also there is a limit to what we can do. We’ll just have to wait and see, some threats you can’t anticipate etc

yes, that's the positive, hopeful interpretation. i still maintain that the correct thing to do is to continue to look out for that fat tail of recombination and gene crossover making airborne super mutants...
