maybe the reason you're hearing this now is because people are talking about crypto a lot, and maybe that's driven by envy -- or maybe a desire for people to get rich or make money -- or maybe driven by trading / chilling by insiders. but in my case i think i have legit concerns

i just feel as technologists we have to consider what happens when the technology we introduce reaches mass adoption. in general i am supportive of development in cryptographically secured electronic currency. it's reasonable to be concerned about something exponentially growing
