in terms of the structure itself?

yeah, with consideration for tuning basic requirements. eg fumehood, power, water / drainage / sink, fire suppression. but even just the best / most cost effective structures could be helpful. there’s probably a design overlap with adu’s, art/youtube studios, garden sheds

I've been interested in how to do rapid iteration w/ structures, and been really interested in semipermanent structures. In a past house someone put one up in the backyard and made a really awesome woodshop in it. I've been impressed at the versatility of these (last 1-3 years)

Also hard to beat steel prefab (quonset/nissen huts) for price per area. Might be bigger/uglier than you're looking for? I'm basically all the way on the side of "low road buildings" in Brand's "how buildings learn" scheme.
