In ~10¹⁰⁰ years, all black holes will evaporate away in a process called Hawking radiation. That's so outrageously long that *even if* a civilization could potentially exist, protons will decay in ~10⁷⁶ years, which is well before that, eliminating that possibility entirely.

And friends, we don't *know* protons decay. A fellow tweeter pointed out that it's not predicted by the Standard Model. That's true: SM says protons are stable and don't decay. But the SM also predicted one massless neutrino, yet here we are 3 *nearly* massless neutrinos later
