*sigh* so there was this savage beating of a guy on the nyc subway, a black guy beats on this (asian? hispanic) guy for like a minute and then chokes him out, just awful but the thing that is keeping me from sleep is the response. some people said ‘oh he called him the n word’

1. this is not captured on tape, i didn’t hear it 2. in mandarin there is a common word “那个” pronounced as “nà ge” or “nèi ge” which *sounds similar* and can be mistaken 3. people trying to justify this is absolutely chilling. how could any word justify that absolute beatdown.

seeing people on twitter try to justify this “shoulda kept his mouth shut” or whatever is just totally chilling. he could have killed him. there were riots all last year from george floyd getting choked out, and here it’s happening on a subway in full view, and people...
