at the present time the ideas seem labor intensive but work at human scale, it may come down to supply of labor / what’s possible with automation. i’ve seen some really impressive farms on youtube, at the center which were really impressive farmers. requires effort, education

That’s actually not so much the hard part! Farmers generally *want* to adopt regen practices because it’s so obv better for land. They’re stewards. But status quo financial incentives make it difficult to risk conversion. Paying for carbon flips those incentives for the better.

I think there are lots of signals in a $20-50/tonne range. Farmers can make good $ after transitioning but takes ~7 years avg to see higher crop yields, low fertilizer costs, etc. Carbon payment is bridge financing to get thru the 5-7 yr valley of death.https://www.nacdnet.org/soil-health-research/ …
