I want to do a Clubhouse w/ someone who knows a bit about book printing and binding about how you should NOT try to find the Forbidden Seuss pdfs and talk about the worst ways to print them & which equipment you definitely shouldn't buy

We would talk about how to make sure nobody ever finds out that you certainly do not have the capacity to print forbidden books and that, because of your high integrity, you would never even consider printing them for anyone else

Only if you think these events won't be continuing. That's a bad way to bet.

events? you mean cancelation of works retroactively proclaimed significant? why won’t the attention go to the new works?

...do you know anyone who read those books before this kerfuffle? not sure it really counts as cultural heritage so much as just past literary works. fwiw the purging has me nervous but these specific books are kind of a curious place to make a stand lol

I remember really liking Mulberry Street as a kid. But the bigger issue is that a small cadre of woke activists were able to roll a major institution like this with a couple of years of pressure.

there's a lot of activist pressure these days, from many sides. institutions are besieged. if you want to avoid conflict it's not clear what to do. but dr. seuss enterprises has definitely triggered a Streisand effect for now
