What is the benefit of being publicly listed on the NYSE now if Joby Aviation does not plan to launch commercial operations until 2024? Is it that retail investors can participate while the company is pre-revenue, or are there other benefits?

if Joby is a solid company why not raise money now when things are getting these bubble valuations it effectively gets them enough capital to execute ambitious targets. previous to this most hard tech or energy or environmental companies had limited access to private capital

Hi Danielle! Good to see you! I see your point — it could be hard to raise this much money while keeping the company private: “Transaction values combined company at $6.6 billion post-money equity value and is expected to provide approximately $1.6 billion in gross proceeds.”
