still the main factor on how bad this is is the envelope of disease that can evolve

That's interesting. I'd love to go back and watch the narrative change. There was a big period of time though where the essential message was, "get this under control now, or you break healthcare" And we certainly have seen the consequences of that failure

In some places, the system really did buckle: New York last spring, El Paso, LA region... ... and in much of the country COVID has been a DoS attack on basic healthcare needs for much of the past year
