both tails of millennial won’t think it’s real but it’s definitely a distinct grouping that starts and ends and zoomers are after

i just don't think it's actually culturally formed yet, but maybe i'm actually legit out of touch. i was told *again* they don't teach cursive any more and was kind of blown away on reconsidering

Seems medium-fake. The main differences I see are more age effects than cohort effects.

I think it's only important for the avocado toast journalists and the people who put 'Founder' in their Bios.

I agree, mostly. Elder millennial, so boomer parents. We all face the same problems, gradient is just steeper, and Gen x had a different childhood. But it's relatable, because the Gen x types have a lot of love for & share their childhood experiences. It's not "back in my day..."

They shifted the definition of millennials in there somewhere. I remember in 2000 they called people born in the 80's and early 90's Gen Y and millennials were people born after 1995. Then Gen Y disappeared and was eaten by "Millennials". It's all marketing drivel.

I’m 29 (millennial) — my opinion is that it’s pretty real. the children+teenagers I interact with seem quite different. my first phone in high school only had texting & calls. today most kids have the internet in their pocket. they’re also more environmentally aware.
