a vaccine that alters your DNA to include a bunch of genes from people with 100 year lifespans, initial tests show it is safe, do you take it?

Not sure how much initial results are worth when the goal is to significantly extend lifespan.

you’re right it’s a total gamble. Maybe the expression of those genes will not help or there will be some kind of problem for some fraction of the population, depending on the situation and genetics

I guess it depends how widely gene alteration is used for other therapies by the time this comes out and of course how much the predicted effect of the therapy varies between doing the therapy now opposed to in ten or twenty years.

If the effect is the same or similar when I'm older why would I take the risks now when the therapy isn't that well researched yet.
