markets are pricing vaccines wrong, way too low, and distribution is even more inefficient.
i don’t know if it boils down just to that, i would hope that it would encourage and mobilize more resource and maybe break through a barrier for people who otherwise might resist entirely
i see your point though it’s a good one i just don’t think it’s the only way to see it

It is true that the same number of vaccines (or more) would get out. Unfortunately the people least able to afford to get tested and take time off when they are sick would be vaccinated last if at all. Poor people are also often more public facing. That's bad for everybody.
