markets are pricing vaccines wrong, way too low, and distribution is even more inefficient.

Markets shouldn't be pricing vaccines at all! This is a public health issue, nobody should be profiting from this

I appreciate your feed to the point that I get notifications when you post, but I genuinely don't understand what you mean here. Are you suggesting that a capitalistic private-enterprise solution is superior to a publicly-owned program?

well, i’m not saying that *in principle*, but i am saying it might be more practical for americans in the short term. in particular it might motivate people to take faster action and work with the system to distribute the vaccine.

ultimately a state owned program that is adequately funded and staffed and executed is superior, but the us has shown itself to be weaker than you’d think. it doesn’t have the state capacity
