As somebody who loves to cook I’m pretty sad to hear this. The quick feedback on gas stoves makes cooking more beginner-friendly, and the ability to instantly fully cut heat means you can leave things on the stove to cool, letting you safely work in a smaller kitchen.

Also, this will probably cause more kitchen burns. Residual heat on an electric stove can be dangerous, especially since the stove doesn’t “look hot.” Working in a kitchen where your counters are cramped with lots of hot stuff is also a recipe for burns.
