trying to fix the wifi for a 3000 sq ft 9-person home in a neighborhood with lots of interference. connection is slow and drops out frequently. already tried google wifi and unifi ubuiquiti AC lites. anyone have other ideas??

Consider getting a bunch of ethernet to powerline bridges near comfortable seating so the people can sit down and finish a download in a burst when they need to.

And yes this is a direct attack on anyone who does not have a physical ethernet port on their laptop they are not doing real work

Also it doesn't matter if you use mesh or repeaters, 2.4 airspace is cluttered & no one configures their shit. Band-steer to 5GHz where possible &/or use separate SSIDs for 2.4 & 5 for devices that can't band-steer or have issues (macs, historically).
