it’s the #3 cause of death in the US this year but worse than that is the effect of letting such a difficult to control virus go rampant, surrendering to it is to surrender to a whole class of evolved diseases in every case immunity, vaccine, public health, it’s a factor on rt

So far. By year end it will be up to the 1st or 2nd place. Immunity isn't talked about because a lot of people are dying. This is a deadly pathogen that is killing many people and even some children. If your blood coagulates, game over, even for triathletes. So sad.

it’s clear that immunity alone isn’t enough, and public health interventions + immunity *does* work

Explain how immunity works if people can get proven reinfections every 3-4 months? The reinfections can be severe enough to end up in the hospital.

well it’s not confirmed what the percentages of people who are susceptible to the virus at all either the first time or in subsequent exposures. it could be that the later one is a lower percentage. it’s not 100% in either case so it is a factor.

A lot of what ifs. Theoretically, with multiple exposures= better for host- T-Cell rec, if H is weak/ exhaust from 1st exp, then it could be killed at 2nd infection. Over T, it should be assimilated into the society. At what T and how many deaths before this happens?

i’m not saying it’s a good idea I’m saying it’s a bad idea to rely on immunity alone but the existence of some immunity to some degree or at least resistance is a fact and it is one of the things that is helping / Will help. alone it does not work that’s the largest mistake

Sweden did a lot of things including stopping in person school banning public gatherings above 50, people worked from home if they can, travel limitations contact tracing, and they had enough PPE within the health system. they weren’t hit as bad early & weren’t as overwhelmed

Exactly. The Sweden model people ignore this. Also, temperatures play a role and Sweden is already a socially distant nation...

I did places where that wasn’t quite as true it was quite a bit worse. Social distance from the epicenter’s of the pandemic was lower in Stockholm and it has a higher population density. and then populations were working from home wasn’t as possible you had it worse
