Herd immunity is such a bad strategy. doesn’t happen for flu, doesn’t happen for cold, flu, measles, strains just keep evolving & circulating in waves till we stamp it out with vaccines don’t defeat the virus & we’re probably in for a decade of covid19, covid20, covid21, etc.

it’s the #3 cause of death in the US this year but worse than that is the effect of letting such a difficult to control virus go rampant, surrendering to it is to surrender to a whole class of evolved diseases in every case immunity, vaccine, public health, it’s a factor on rt

So far. By year end it will be up to the 1st or 2nd place. Immunity isn't talked about because a lot of people are dying. This is a deadly pathogen that is killing many people and even some children. If your blood coagulates, game over, even for triathletes. So sad.

it’s clear that immunity alone isn’t enough, and public health interventions + immunity *does* work

you have masks and social distancing and reasonable precautions and contact tracing and you can get things under control enough that some economic activity is still possible. don’t and it just gets worse and worse until nothing but a full lockdown works
