It is definitely unfiltered but doesn't project out as far

this limits droplet transmission, but there would still be a problem with aerosol transmission

It just means the exhaled breath doesn’t travel up into the inside of your glasses. It can filter out the mask or out the sides.

It is unfiltered, but it doesn't spread as far. Imagine coughing. Now put your hand over your face. Basically, the mask is like a hand over your face. The air goes, just not as far.

Surgeons also tend to wear face shields. He only said it was to keep your glasses clear. I lay my glasses edge on my fabric masks to keep the air from filtering up. If I get my students back in my classroom, I’m going to wear a shield too- many family members have co-morbidities
