trump is obviously worse but they really fucked up with the masks thing and they continue to fuck up with testing.

Again when you remove funding and literal bodies to do the test/trace what are they to do? Also why are we using tests made by the son in law od the president that are effective only 60% of the time? Is that the fault of the CDC?

YES IT'S THE FAULT OF THE CDC. The institutions are supposed to be resilient to this orange goon.

they have an institutional responsibility to not be corrupted and they failed and failed to blow the whistle on it and they failed to do reasonable things to achieve good testing and they fucked up with masks there is a huge amount the cdc and fda failed at or just abdicated.

So you're saying it everyone's fault except for the guy in charge of it all. You could have just said you support trump this could have been a much shorter conversation

it's both of their faults. we can't pretend that the state institutions did their job it's a failure on their part too the theory of government is to have many independent agencies and institutions and checks and balances not one guy we scapegoat for everything

Agencies like the CDC have zero to do with our system of checks and balances. Many of them were created in the last 50 years. Mosly all of them answer DIRECTLY to the executive branch and *maybe* a congressional committee.

absolutely false it was their duty to the country to blow the whistle on trump's attempts to muzzle testing and the failure to do so in impeachable, both for the president and the health officials
