watching the sf community hate on jason calcanis for wanting to set up a homeschool buble (he’s even offering 100% scholarships to students based on merit) is something else if you don’t like the solution propose yours, “the revolution is coming for you” takes are creepy & lazy

Yes. Some odd 25m unemployed. They're not cogs. You can't take a 22 year old barista and have them teaching calculus in two weeks. Sure that's an extreme example, but we need 3x the calculus teachers and our surplus labor is primarily in hospitality.

oh, and I did recommend to a few friends in March that they pick up an unemployed server as live-in childcare for the exact reason that there's a surplus of labor that is clearly not going to be needed for the next year.
