When the government fails to provide a solution it should be no surprise when wealthy individuals step in and solve the problem.

The problem that liberals have here stems more from the definition of wealth and the presence of wealth inequality than anything else, IMO, these types of solutions are being misidentified as an attack on minorities when it is literally just the rich saving themselves.

Ya Jason is clearly right on this. People will hate anything rich people do that’s not public education.

The proposal should be “let’s use our power as wealthy members of the community to help ensure every child has access to a safe public school system,” even if that’s done I conjunction with helping his own kid. I’d love to see the Silicon Valley elite focus on public good.
