6. Therefore: let a thousand cults bloom. People organize into worker collectives based on religion and shared worldview. 7. They make money as coders or web designers 8. Eventually they move to new physical locations and start small towns -> develop these

9. Work is done startup wise in order to make this lifestyle more structured. 1) religious/ideological to define a lifestyle 2) legal/bitcoin in order to make law & hard contracts 3) other 10. This seems like it won’t work & has some major flaw & is cringe but idk what it is yet

As someone who has done their own fair share of this, I've realized that it's cringe to announce plans for society without proclaiming it with authority - because the missing ingredient is authority, and not plans.

Values have to precede plans, to a certain degree. Values are not exactly created ex-nihilo. The question you have to answer is "What about our current values implies that this is the most righteous course of action?"

In the case of plans which include a meta-idea of righteousness, a confederation of cults as it were, you have to explain why that itself is good in the language of values I think this goes further and you have to re-explain why groups should even be honest with each other

Like, society needs intention-sharpening, and not a blueprint. The blueprint comes after the intention-sharpening, and I think people are very tired of two-hundred years of blueprinting based on inadequate intention-sharpening.

What I’m getting here is that you think the will (& its natural in of actual righteousness) is the real bottleneck on any such plan, not the material factors of the plan itself. So the material discussion ends up pie-in-sky, since no one’s worried abt it actually happening

will is usually the limiting factor
