I think it's hilarious - here we are in the middle of a pandemic mismanaged by an incompetent generation of elders - yet we should talk about how there is a problem among the young? Yes there is, but tell me again, who is responsible?

that's not the point at all! in years past the young would have grabbed power, economically or politically, in fact millennials have done neither. the point isn't in assigning blame, it is, i believe, to wake up.

No, I understand the 60s, but in this situation - where do those options exist? I think that we have a rosy picture of what was going on, when in reality, the post-War world created a strange economic situation.

Yet what we actually need now is some maturity and dignified responsibility. This is going to take a long time.

thinking more along the lines of the ages of the founding fathers, or the french revolution... increasingly despairing for the boomers ever really waking up to the situation

Oh yeah, I was just about to talk about the French Revolution. Let's talk about that.

Founding Fathers are different - that was a secession. They had it easy, comparatively. Fight a civil war, create a new state. Entirely different problem than killing a Tyrant.
