If someone actually lived a life that were totally open, transparent, and public, would they simply be canceled, or would the world learn empathy?

i think after the snowden revelations, i've wanted to develop an anonymized reputation service - all your data belongs to you, and you selectively syndicate data to only reveal what is required in a given context e.g. expertise in physics, w/o having to compromise your privacy.

virtual and physical presence have different affordances - it is easier to protect privacy & trust in physical life, we are naturally limited to a smaller group in everyday interactions, data doesn't persist, there are more avenues of expression so easier to build empathy etc.
