38. Worship (of any kind) can be (or become) dishonest. I think most worshippers discover this. They might pray for deliverance from their own insincerity. This is of course insane! Still, living at the cutting edge of your bullshit, melting it at high speed, is worthy anyway.

39. Spirituality is probably not ultimately a cope, but usually is. Mundanity is frequently underrated. One can always ask why a person has tried to answer a spiritual question, rather than a material one.

40. The first enemy is alienation from the self, the second is alienation from the world. (At least for the artist of spirit - there may be other types.) After that, is mere mundane and joyous effort.

𝖒𝖎𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖊𝖑 𝖈𝖚𝖗𝖟𝖎 @michaelcurzi41/ Cowards can’t handle opposition or disapproval, even when they’re right. So cowardice can render one unable to stand against evil; in this way it aids and abets evil. But, few if any are above honest fear. This can be carried well. (Attached is Matthew 5:10-12) pic.twitter.com/iZlNuBEUtVShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 4 likesShow this thread -

I think this is profoundly true. I think this is one of the things that shapes the universe.

Would be interested in any elaborations on its shaping of things if something comes to mind!

so much of the story of life is shaped not by the vast mass of lived moments but by tiny consequential actions during periods of punctuated equilibrium. we are descended creatures surviving the vastly improbable. consequently it seems sometimes the universe is a race narrow-run.
