I sold about 1/2 of them at 1/8th peak value. Net I made a little less than a million in profit, all of which has gone to my parents / investments against COVID, or donations against COVID.

I’ve always been afraid of playing the stock market because I don’t believe traders are even remotely rational in their decision-making en masse. This is further confirmation...I’ll leave it to the experts to try to predict irrationality

Lee Smolin argues that humanity's true reflection is in the discrepancy between transparent markets (a total illusion) and arbitrage, which can only exist if the market is non-transparent. i.e.: as long as humans trade in illusions like false markets, we can never thrive.
-
And the implication is simple: if these markets, illusions we subscribe to, are taken seriously as bases of society, how can we ever take the sciences that these support seriously. All of us are tied to the initial conditions: illusions.
