Arrived today. These are AMAZING. Holy cow. Are you driving them straight off your phone?

Actually though I sometimes run them off my phone I don't love the sound off the iDongle so I use the iPad I have in my backpack. It has a great amp I use the Chord Mojo into a DROP THX AAA 789 amp at home. It's an option for on the go but the USB-micro connection is impractical

And this is all totally amazing. Music sounds completely different vs my previous setup. Going to try and pause here although tempted to try a few more things.

Thank you! I’ll report back - but really incredible so far. Any other audio tech knowledge you can drop?

A couple of things. High res music matters -- the best source is Amazon Music HD, but Tidal is quite good (not as good) BUT you can actually remix it with serato and that's an incredible experience. For speaks I think the KEF LS50 / LS50W's do something magic. Phase coherence.

I did eventually find my way to amazon from tidal! Any thoughts on the MQA format? The mojo doesn’t decode it, the xDSD does, but I don’t know if It matters to me. My hearing doesn’t really go above 17khz. I spent some time on that, decided I liked the mojo better. Thoughts?

I don't really think MQA matters that much, it's a little better than a lower res version but just high res is better still and is available, MQA gets you maybe a factor of 2 in bitrate for a little cost in quality (MQA would dispute this) @Neilyoung says better to use high res.

I think the Mojo is excellent but isn't a great product on the go I have found! It's the damn connection!

Okay mobile: so xDSD DAC, using Bluetooth from the phone. I love the lack of wired connection to the DAC, makes it less kludgy. Is Bluetooth Unholy here?
