It hasn't occurred to @NYTimes that the *reason* para-rationalist twitter, alt twitter, & people around SlateStarCodex were able to be ahead of the curve was that:
a) They could speak their mind freely
b) The community assembled itself behind ideas, not rea lname identities.
he's widely known as scott alexander. why go beyond this? it's a well known figure and his other name is not and not connected.
