The typical American worker? They'll do this for nothing because they are trapped. Me? Depends what "exposed" means. But I suspect I'd do it for a 25-50k/yr. There's a class system in America and most people haven't realized it yet but the "middle" class isn't.

Why not just sell a kidney and stay home. The survival rate is much higher and for most so is the payout.

I've tried to factor this out by saying you're certain to be exposed -- you're responsible for getting your own risk down, assume that it overwhelms the public and private health systems, but you have access to PPE.

I've been regularly exposed to covid-19 the last couple of months. The price I accepted for this was ~2.2-2.5 of my hourly rate. Had PPE though.
