do people have any idea how quickly technology progressed from 1900 - 1950? compare from 1970 - 2020. it's a big freaking difference!

Yes. Televisual culture - returning to the verbal, from displays of language to displays of visual flamboyance – as well as the 'professionalization' of all work into industry jargon - plus the fragmentation of the university- has changed what public intellectuals & literacy are.

One of the biggest problems for growth i see is genuine hard real physical limits of physics. Take acceleration of the human body. In 1000 years time our bodies will still be only able to handle say 0.5 g for acceleration approx. We simply cant beat those physical constraints.
