Dramatic upgrade in coping with pain: Recognizing I do not *have* a pain, as if an external lamprey is stuck to my body. This is low-key dissociation. I *am* the pain – my awareness emanates from it/within in. This way of identification disables the pain-avoidance immune system

If normally you feel like your awareness stares out from your eyes, the next time you feel pain, entertain that your awareness also stares out from the pain.
