Its not that simple. If you use any of Tesla patents, you agree in turn to open all of your patents to them. That's why you won't find any specific examples of anyone using them.

technically that’s not the same thing as what you said, it’s limited to the domain of electric vehicles and related equipment, and it doesn’t mean you open your patents to them it means that you don’t enforce any action against them, which is totally reasonable considering...

in fact I’m not sure that’s true. Tesla hasn’t enforced any patents but they may well have had the ability to do so
