Yes I recall these points from your essay very well :-) as Daniel is describing it, we aren't supposed to wait for a Phase Shift to happen - it results from us acting more in sync with Nature, with the Ecosystem - "anti-rivalrous" "co-operative rather than competitive" behavior

Yeah yeah it’s the same bedrock bullshit now dressed as science. The only working example is Stallman’s FOSS work. That’s the only time it worked. And “worked” probably stopped when Free Software was overtaken by the depoliticised Open Source. There is no there there, sorry.

1. Did you watch that 30-min video in its entirety? 2. We know the map is not the territory - same labels can describe different things - you can hate the labels because they described nonsense so far, but what do you do when they are finally attached to something pertinent?

How to best describe the shift from single-celled to multi-cellular life on Earth, than as a "phase shift". Or a new threshold in David Christian's Big History course terminology. Same with caterpillar -> chrysalis -> butterfly

Yes, but thinking this metaphor applies to us IS PURE DELUSION end of story

A'ight, I had some insight to share regarding a SPECIFIC GOAL OF a "phase shift" or the Great Awakening Myth ideas, the means of achieving it. 1) Yes, it is bullshit to expect to "change" the global mind - there is NO global human-like brain substrate to support a "global mind"

2) You can only change one mind - YOUR OWN - your human brain, with its nature-gifted abilities, can work well with itself: communication, co-ordination, learning, wisdom - these can lead to radical progress of thinking & perception. There can be a "phase shift" in your mind.

3) To achieve the same kind of radical progress in a group of mind, a group of human brains communicating, learning, co-ordinating, IS WHAT we mean by effective team-building. Your ceiling to any "phase shift" here is how effectively can you SCALE UP these effective teams

4) Any other kind of "changing of minds" business that happens, e.g. by broadcasting inspirational speeches, it generates a *temporary emotional reaction* in the masses, who don't happen to be well co-ordinated enough, to capture the effect permanently. They each go their own way

5) Thus, if there are no effective teams, you cannot affect an intentional phase shift, & certainly not in a positive way. The "collective consciousness" of the randomized masses is simply not intelligent enough to learn, co-ordinate & create. But it can destroy. "mob mentality"
