I recently got to witness some younger person drama (early 20s?) that happened on the periphery of my social graph. it reminded me of my own conflicts at that age. very... blundersome, clunky, convoluted. everything is about everything, all the sirens go off all the time

I don’t want to mock or criticise kids for being kids, but I *can* talk about my younger self. Young Visa was very passionate, intense, theatric... and also sloppy. Unverified, [citations needed]. And *tediously* verbose. The challenge is to learn to be precise. And succinct

I think it’s accurate to say that young people can be a bit more expressionist with their words. I know this can sound a little condescending but I don’t think of it as “worse”, it’s just a different communication stylepic.twitter.com/F3773rXSaM

As I’ve gotten older I’ve found that my disagreements have become much more productive because I now try to be much more precise about what I mean, and I also nudge my partners to be clear about what exactly *they* mean. Loud Noises can be cathartic but you don’t get very far
