This is not me saying I didn’t consider trans people people. But putting something on a group level pedestal kind of robbed me of ability to connect, as someone without those experiences. Does this make sense?

it was a long road to self acceptance and i'm not finished. but over time i just lived more and more as i wanted to live, and comfort came as i stretched my wings.
