whereas fermions only absorb it at, say, half the rate. over time, the fermions have a very nuanced life path, which they could have memory in, of exactly the way that the world was, why they mades their decisions, while the bosons will be swept up by the waves

it turns out that this may also describe particles in physics fairly well, so you can use analogies from physics in reasoning about social matters during a crisis such as now.

another way to put it, imagine the world, drawn in a cartoon in black and white. then, flip the colour, white to black, black to white. zebras maintain their identity in such a world.
