This is the entire point of my “cutting through spiritual colonialism” text: the “phase shift” is the Great Awakening Myth, and it’s pseudo spiritual garbage produced by morons and sold to fools, so they can escape responsibility for actually working on the world’s real problems.

Yes I recall these points from your essay very well :-) as Daniel is describing it, we aren't supposed to wait for a Phase Shift to happen - it results from us acting more in sync with Nature, with the Ecosystem - "anti-rivalrous" "co-operative rather than competitive" behavior

Yeah yeah it’s the same bedrock bullshit now dressed as science. The only working example is Stallman’s FOSS work. That’s the only time it worked. And “worked” probably stopped when Free Software was overtaken by the depoliticised Open Source. There is no there there, sorry.

1. Did you watch that 30-min video in its entirety? 2. We know the map is not the territory - same labels can describe different things - you can hate the labels because they described nonsense so far, but what do you do when they are finally attached to something pertinent?

How to best describe the shift from single-celled to multi-cellular life on Earth, than as a "phase shift". Or a new threshold in David Christian's Big History course terminology. Same with caterpillar -> chrysalis -> butterfly

Yes, but thinking this metaphor applies to us IS PURE DELUSION end of story

If I'm gathering the diverse viewpoints I've read on the matter correctly, & if you are correct, then there is no Game B in our future, only a self-terminating Game A. Any tipping point/phase shift/threshold will be "the shittier just got real crazy super-acceleratingly shittier"

Are different economic or social arrangements possible? yes. Could some of them be better than these? yes. BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE ON 20% OF THE NATURAL RESOURCE CONSUMPTION WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING IN THE RICH COUNTRIES TO WORK. Future looks nothing like Game B, it's Plan B

OMG, I never got notified of these two tweets! Just happened to spot them now... Target = [20% OF THE CURRENT NATURAL RESOURCE CONSUMPTION] Great, got it!

Pure tenets of peaceful spirituality of Hinduism, Buddhism could not survive against the conquest-nature of Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) That's why Gandhiji's path was also self-terminating in a violent world We need Mahatma Gandhi + Bruce Lee = Jedi (?!)
