Ironically, the rich work longer and harder than anyone else unlike in previous generations of the wealthy class. As a result, we are at record levels of wealth disparity.

Quantity of hours worked used to be a mark of the poor and is now inverted to the rich. The labour market has been restructured restricting the poor from access to more labour hours.

The problem is the new rich class feel they deserve the exponential wealth created because they've put so much work in. They continue compound wealth disparity because it's "deserved"
